Numerous bodybuilders pursue weight lifting to enhance self confidence levels, with some being overweight and needing both muscle gain and fat loss, while many others begin the process significantly below what they feel is a comfortable body weight, and because they consider themselves to be excessively thin, decide to pursue bodybuilding with the hopes of naturally rectifying this unwanted trait. The first place they visit for advice are either bodybuilding magazines or Internet web sites that offer weight gain diet techniques, and the feeling is, by following such eating strategies when combined with intense weight lifting, the body will begin to systematically gain weight, and appearance will greatly improve. The flaw in such thinking is that many variables are necessary in constructing an effective muscle building routine, and when a weight lifter aims to gain weight, he or she is not seeking a larger waistline or a second chin, but rather lean muscle gains, which improve appearance and enhance body weight, accomplishing both goals simultaneously. Although most weight gain diet strategies are designed to accomplish their stated goal, which is to increase body weight, many accept this as a sign that such a plan is worth pursuing, but doing so fails to consider that the type of weight gained may be undesirable. A bodybuilding strategy can easily produce more body fat increase than muscle gain if designed improperly, and because of this, the term “weight gain diet” can easily refer to rapid, unnecessary and unwanted body fat increase.Unfortunately, many bodybuilders are not aware of this fact, and pursue common bodybuilding weight gain diet strategies blindly, believing that such routines will lead to improved self confidence. Yet, in reality, they find that although the scale increases regularly, mirror appearance begins to worsen as the body accumulates massive amounts of fat, which is diametrically opposed to achieving bodybuilding caliber results. Despite this fact, many bodybuilders continue to follow such weight gain diet tactics, believing that if they remain persistent, their goals will become a reality, and if the scale continues to note progress, there is no need to change direction. But after several months of such flawed weight gain diet practice, a bodybuilder will begin to feel the sense that he or she is unappealing physically, but for a far different reason, as body fat levels have hidden newly built muscle, and eliminated all definition, creating a physique that is far from aesthetically pleasing. If a bodybuilder continues to believe that he or she must weigh a certain amount to have achieved success, then body fat will remain, and the goal of developing a pleasing physical appearance will essentially become impossible, unless the bodybuilder’s diet routine changes dramatically. The most important point to remember is that common weight gain diet plans overload the body with carbohydrates, causing a surge in body fat percentage, instead of properly balancing protein, carbohydrates and fat for sustained muscle gain, without rapid expansion of body fat levels. In many cases, body fat will need to rise as muscle is gained, since many metabolisms cannot increase muscle mass without some fat accumulation, but common weight gain diet techniques encourage the greatest amount of fat gain, as opposed to providing a balanced approach that offers consistent muscle building, while minimizing body fat increases. The more body fat that is accumulated during the weight gain process, the longer a bodybuilder must waste burning fat in the future, and the easier he or she will regain that body fat due to conditioning fat cells to accept a far higher level of body fat than otherwise would have been possible when following a properly designed bodybuilding weight gain diet strategy. So, when attempting to rectify a thin frame, remember that the goal is to produce lean muscle gains and minimize body fat levels, which requires avoiding common weight gain diet advice which you will find plastered on the covers of bodybuilding magazines, and instead balance nutrients properly so that the body can receive sufficient food for consistent muscle gains, without the accompanying body fat intrusion. The worst possible scenario for a bodybuilder is to spend much time attempting to build muscle, while following a flawed weight gain diet strategy that causes body fat to encompass the vast majority of weight gained, so make sure to consider the importance of a correctly designed weight gain diet plan prior to embarking on a bodybuilding quest.

You will hardly see a confident person loosing something in his life. And if he does, at any point of time, he is capable of recovering it easily and gaining the lost spirit. In fact women often like men who are confident. There are chances that you will mistake confidence as self-importance.
People often feel that if they are showing attitude to their dates, they will fall for him which is an absolutely wrong idea. When you are confident it looks on your face. Moreover confidence often boosts up the personality of a person. This is really important when you wish to win the heart of your date.
What is the benefit of being confident on a date?
There are certain benefits of being confident on a date. There are many men who are handsome but are not confident enough to approach a girl directly for a date. In fact if you are employing someone else on behalf of you to let your girl know that you like her then this is a sign of lacking confidence. You should be bold enough to talk to the girl yourself.
Asking others help will spoil your image in her eyes. Once you have the faith in yourself, you will be able to maintain eye contact with others which is really important to impress your date. In fact if you wish to flirt with the girl then also you will need adequate self-confidence.
If you are lacking there then the other person will know that on the very instant because your face will show it all. This is something really embarrassing and makes you look like a fool.
How to build up confidence?
This is not easy to gain confidence especially when it is related to dating. Many men become nervous before meeting a girl and they always have the tendency to mess up at the date. There are some of them who are scared after meeting a girl and keep quiet not knowing what exactly they should say and this is a great turn off for any girl as they might also feel humiliated.
There are some simple techniques which you can try out to build your confidence. The easiest but effective one is to look into the mirror and talk to yourself loudly maintaining eye contact. This will give you enough courage to do the same with others.

Reasons that you may like to gain muscle and weight may include but certainly is not limited to the desire for better health, to become healthier and stronger, to get the appeal of others, to gain prowess, to become better at your favorite sport or just be proud of yourself so you are not self conscious in public.

Regardless of your genes, there are some really natural and healthy ways to gain weight which do not require the use of any drugs. The drug companies available in the fitness industry will lead the consumers to believe that if they are skinny, the only way they can become bulkier and build muscle is by consuming their products that may be in the form of tablets, capsules, powders and syrups. But most of these companies are only feeding you with lies and they are only trying to make the most money out of you.

The healthiest way to gain muscle and weight in a natural way is to avoid using these drugs, taking a proper diet and maintaining a regular exercise regime to quickly gain muscles on your body. The most important thing you can do about gaining muscle and weight in a natural way is to take care of your diet. A good diet not only has the right amount of calories but also contains the perfect combination of proteins, carbohydrates and proteins. If you are not eating right, your body will not gain the essential nutrients that it needs and you will not get the best results that you are looking for. No matter how hard you are working out every day, you will not be able to gain muscle and weight as per your expectations without proper diet. You will not only need to do a lot of hard work to gain muscle but you will also make a dedicated commitment with seriousness. However, the payoff that you will achieve at the end will be a matter of pride for you and you will finally start feeling comfortable under your skin.

Taking drugs is like cheating with your own system of life and if you are working to gain muscle and weight without the consumption of drugs, you will be really proud of your achievements. By gaining muscle and weight in a natural way, you will not only gain a lot of self-confidence but will also have a entire new outlook towards your life.

There is a commonly held — but false — belief that it takes many years of struggling and hard work to build confidence. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Confidence is not something one gains by “working at it,” or studying their behavior and mannerisms over many years. Confidence is the product of the subconscious mind, and can be improved in the blink of an eye — assuming you use the right techniques.
The problem is, many people assume that confidence comes from simply working harder at being confident. This would make sense if your level of confidence and self-esteem was determined by your conscious mind — but it’s not.
To build confidence, your subconscious mind must undergo a change. It matters very little what you consciously say, think or believe about yourself, because it is the all-important subconscious mind that defines the self image and establishes a person’s level of confidence and self-esteem.
So how do you affect this change in the subconscious? Research shows that repetition is one powerful tool to change subconscious assumptions. Think of it this way: when you were first learning to drive a car, you thought about every aspect of driving consciously at all times. At this point, chances are you were not a great driver because you were “over-thinking” things.
But through repetition and practice, you likely got to the point where you did not have to think very much about driving — it was simply something you did. Once a driver gets to this level, the subconscious mind has taken over and they become very smooth, effortless drivers — without thinking much about it.
Building confidence works exactly the same way. If you have to give a great deal of conscious thought to your behavior and mannerisms, you will likely not appear very confident to anyone, especially yourself. But through repetition of the right messages, you can reach the point where you are “running on autopilot,” just as you do when you drive a car. This is the point where confidence and high self-esteem come naturally to a person, and they seldom have to give it a second thought.
We learn any task or behavior by repetition, and “extreme repetition” will speed up the process immensely. This is how you learned to speak as a child. You were surrounded by people speaking your language, and this extreme repetition bombarded your subconscious mind until it was inevitable that you could speak the language too.
This is also why the best way to learn a new language which is to live in a country where it is spoken. Being surrounded by, and bombarded with, a concept over a period of time ensures that it absolutely will become a part of your nature and personal characteristics. This is exactly how we build confidence. Immersing yourself with confident ideas, suggestions and messages using extreme repetition builds confidence quickly, without years of struggling or “hard work.”
Although there are many confidence building programs out there, as a personal development and confidence coach, I always advise clients to steer clear of programs that claim to be able to “teach” self-confidence over a period of time. Self-confidence is not something we “learn.” It is something that we mimic, just like language. That’s why struggling or working hard for years to build confidence often fails.
The proper way to create a subconscious shift in how you “see” yourself is to use a total immersion program with “extreme repetition.” Programs such as the UltraConfidence System use this type of technique to overwhelm the subconscious mind and create a new confident self-image.
Remember, what you consciously think, say or believe doesn’t make a whole lot of difference. And you don’t need years and years of training to be a confident person. You can bypass all those false assumptions and build confidence without struggling by immersing yourself in a program that uses extreme repetition of concepts and suggestions to create a new “reality” of a new, more confident you.

There are many different confidence courses available for people from all walks of life, all ages, and all income levels. The increased need for building self confidence is almost universally acknowledged, and many instructors are responding to this need by presenting a range of courses that can really help you enhance your self confidence and self esteem.
Interestingly enough, if you really suffer from low self esteem or self confidence, simply just signing up for and showing up at a confidence course can be a challenge in and of itself – think of it as the first step in your overall process, or possibly the second, since identifying the problem in the first place is actually really where the process of building self-confidence usually start.
So how do you know if you could benefit from attending or completing a confidence course? Well, for a start, most people could benefit from such a course regardless or current confidence levels. If you are at all disatisfied with your inter-personal relationships, your work, and the way you feel about yourself (and many, if not most, of us are – at least from time to time) chances are that your confidence could use a boost or kick-start. A self confidence course may prove to be exactly what the doctor ordered, so to speak.
And how can a confidence course help you exactly? It’s not regarded as the same as regular types of therapy, but it will allow you to explore, with other people in the same situation, the issues surrounding self-confidence in a much more direct and focused way than regular inter-personal interaction. Various differing techniques are currently used in the current confidence courses, and these will vary a great deal depending on the instructor and the layout of the particular course you get involved with.
One thing that you can be absolutely sure of is that your current comfort zone will be challenged in some way, that you may be asked to speak in public, and that various exercises will be designed and implemented to allow you to work on your confidence issues or work on those things that are currently holding you back. For example, you might be asked to confront in saftely, something that is normally very difficult for you to do, such as speaking frankly in front of the entire group and sharing difficult past and present experiences.
The amount of confidence that you can gain from participating in such a course is its own reward. Many people find the experience more than worth while – it can be invaluable for your own personal growth and development. A welcome ’side-effect’ from a physical course is the close friendships that tend to develop in the context of such a course. When people grow together and share their private experiences, it makes for a very profound and deep way of interacting, and you are more than likely to make a few lasting friendships when taking a confidence course.

Hypnotherapy home study course is one of the hottest trends today. Even popular figures (like Matt Damon and Tiger Woods) have expressed their own fascination with the benefits they get from their own hypnotherapy home study course programs. Multinational corporations such as IBM, Microsoft and Coca Cola have also enrolled their people on hypnotherapy home study course to boost their confidence and productivity.

All these stand testament to the benefits of learning self hypnosis from a credible source.

Man have always look for ways to grow and evolution has been our survival’s main driving force. It is therefore no surprise that a lot of us are now turning to various methods looking for ways to “evolve” and to go beyond the competition. Physical dominance is enough for the cave men during their time, but in today’s ultra-competitive field we must all learn how to develop our inner strength to maintain an edge. That’s practically why more and more people are looking for ways to boost confidence, develop more focus, and fortify inner resilience to pressure and challenges.

These factors set the stage for self development thru self hypnosis. Initially we had the time to take part in actual classes and sessions, but as mentioned above time is a luxury most people don’t have prompting many clinical hypnosis practitioners to create hypnotherapy home study course programs tailored to fit the current always-on-the-go social trend.

One of the best hypnotherapy home study course I tried was from Dr. Brian Alman (considered by many as a pillar of clinical hypnosis industry). To avoid having this article labeled as a shameless plug, I’ll keep my thoughts regarding his hypnotherapy home study course programs to myself and instead focus on Dr. Alman’s beliefs and insights.

According to Dr. Alman, the root of humankind’s current detachment from the inner self goes deeper than most of us think, and that the reason most people are now yearning for inner growth is because our inner selves are also yearning to empower us. Restlessness, worrying, the feeling of emptiness are all signs we’re missing our inner half, and that our own inner self is missing us.

Confidence and self-esteem are among the inner power hardest to gain, why is that? Dr. Alman uses these to prove his point.

Why is it that some of us are confident and some of us are not? Why is it we feel secure with some aspects of our life and some people, yet not others? And why is it we doubt our ability to accomplish things or our decisions, whether it be choosing the color of a new T-shirt or deciding which job to go for?

If you have feelings of self-doubt or in some way lack self-confidence, don’t worry, you are not alone! These feelings seem to drift over all of us from time to time, like a dense, damp fog! But why is that? One of the reasons is that most of us as children heard many more “no’s” than “yes’”, many more “don’ts” than “do’s”, so subsequently, most of us as adults, find it much easier to put ourselves down than accept ourselves as we are.

Having had our heads filled, at such an impressionable age, with so many directives, instructions, opinions and criticisms, we feel unsure how to make decisions for ourselves, or we feel that the way we do things is somehow “not quite right” or “not good enough”. As a result, we learn to depend on others to tell us how we’re doing, whether we’re doing well or whether our appearance is alright. Thus, our view of ourself becomes outer-directed; our self-image, self-esteem and levels of competence, become dependent on those around us.

Essentially, as long as we depend on others to boost our confidence, we will continue to be tossed around by the waves of opinion. Maturity means starting to consult ourself instead of looking to others for approval. It means deciding our own levels of competence and formulating our own self-image by looking within, rather than looking to others outside of us to determine our self-esteem. It means measuring ourself with ourself to find our own personal best, rather than comparing ourself to others. And it involves setting aside all the old patterns of behavior we have previously followed and learning new scripts instead.

The fundamental keys to dropping self-doubt are self-exploration, self-reliance and self-trust. It’s all about being your own counselor, being your own support team, and encouraging and rewarding yourself for jobs well done. It’s about you depending on you, to tell yourself how attractive, capable, and accomplished you are.

Regaining self-confidence also involves being honest with yourself, about realistically assessing your capacities and limitations, which means not just blocking out negative comments from others, but looking at your very own negative self-talk. Self-confidence is not about being arrogant, conceited or having an inflated ego, it’s simply about accepting, supporting and loving yourself.

If you find yourself nodding in agreement to Dr. Alman’s observations, then you’ve taken your first step towards inner growth thru self hypnosis. If you’re reading up to this point, then it might be a good idea to take part on your own chosen hypnotherapy home study course.

Somebody asked me this question and I responded with – excellent question, I’d have to say we gain confidence by taking the chance. The outcome may be what we desired or it may be different but the fact that we took chance gives us confidence. This works with some phobias. I have the height phobia. I try to look below from heights without getting afraid. Small heights first. The phobia is very much there but I will conquer it soon. I have the confidence now. Let me list few important points about confidence-No one has zero confidence, so we can start by building on what we have. Probably all of us are more confident in some areas than in others.

Challenge yourself at every opportunity to go a little beyond hat you know you can do.

Start with something small, and take a leap of faith in yourself.

We can talk to ourselves more kindly and encouragingly, and remind ourselves of what we do well, and whatever success we had.

The only true failure, is quitting. We usually quit because we’ve become discouraged. If we feel confident we would not quit but try again.

Your feelings affect everything you do in life. Your self-confidence levels and self-esteem depend on your feelings.

Write all the good work done by you. When I feel low in confidence, I try to recollect my school days.I was the top in my school and my thoughts of past change my state immediately. Do something similar by going in past. Begin recollecting.

Practice trying to see the glass half full rather than half empty, with regards to how you view yourself.

Loneliness can add to the feeling of non-confidence. A lot of times when we feel lonely we’re also reluctant to do things like call old friends or new acquaintances, or to go out or invite people over. We need to break this cycle.

We need to have someone tell us that we are good and explain to us how our thinking has been distorted by negative things said to us, over and over again.

All of us are unique! There is no one else like us! Are we morons that we can not achieve what others can? No. We can!

There have been many notable late bloomers in life! Abraham Lincoln, J.K. Rowling and did you know Einstein was considered retarded until after his theory of relativity became known? Yes his teachers believed that because he kept failing his classes.

Begin with confidence and you will know you can do just about anything you choose.

Confidence comes from attempting to do things and recognizing our efforts or accomplishments. A person does not become confident riding a bicycle until they have done it, but they need some confidence that they can learn to ride it, or they will not try.

If you get negative results do not see them as a FAILURE rather than an education and merely a temporary set back. The more kudos you can give to yourself for trying your best, the better your chances of success next time.

Confidence is built from success and what you learn from failure.

Confidence is all about a positive mind-set.

A small child does not know how to walk but looking at others walking he gets the confidence that he too can walk. Observe successful people. that gives confidence.

Think of what you are confident about and pull up your shoulders.
